As Selkirk Rex is a new breed therefore the following outcross is allowable:

• Persian (untill 2010)
• Exotic Shorthair (untill 2010)
• British Shorthair (untill 2015)

Kittens born on or after January 1, 2015 may have only Selkirk Rex parents.
